  • An effective international recruitment process
  • Increases sales and turnover

In control of international recruitment

“We believe that the most ethically sustainable way to do international recruitment is to handle everything ourselves. We bring experts and professionals to Finland through our own company,” says HR and Administration Manager Anniina Aho. She works at the Rauma office of Kaiku HR.

While Kaiku HR’s main business is employee leasing, it also provides recruitment services. The company operates throughout Finland, and it has its own recruitment office and engineering services office in India.

Kaiku HR brings engineer-level experts as well as industry professionals, such as spray painters, welders, CNC machinists, and pipe benders, to Finland.

Talent funding boosts development

Kaiku HR wanted to fix its international recruitment processes with the help of Talent funding. During the project, it created processes and operating instructions for its own personnel.

“Our goal was to develop the process so that we would be in control of everything internally. In other words, to do our job as efficiently and well as possible. We considered how to deal with authorities quickly and efficiently, providing the best service for our customers,” Aho explains.

Talent funding was extremely useful

Aho estimates that Talent funding was a huge and significant advantage for Kaiku HR. The project manager was able to focus on developing the operations without doing anything else.

“We used the Talent funding for process development. We left no stone unturned: everything could be done more comprehensively and more thoroughly.”

Previous experiences of bottlenecks and challenges played a large role in the development work. They helped to reach a better outcome.

“Our goal was to develop the process so that we would be in control of everything internally", says Anniina Aho.

Results of the development work show in turnover

“Talent funding has increased our sales through international recruitment. We have managed to increase our turnover,” Aho says.

Kaiku HR created clear processes and operating models for itself. They are a great way to demonstrate to customers how things can be done better.

“Now we can show our customers how we do what we do. After putting this into words ourselves first, convincing our customers has also been easier,” Aho says.

Applying for Talent funding was smooth

Kaiku HR received information about Talent funding from Business Finland’s experts, events, and websites. Aho says that the application process went really well. If something was unclear, Business Finland’s experts were there to help.

“Dealing with Business Finland was extremely fluent. The experts answered all our questions and gave us advice on filling out the application.”

Aho emphasizes that without Talent funding, Kaiku HR would not have been able to refine its processes this far. The company would have lacked the resources to investigate all the options.

“We could investigate and compare alternative solutions. Without this work, the international recruitment process would still be slower.”

Anniina Aho’s tips for applying for Talent funding

  1. First, outline your vision and goals. This makes drawing up a project plan easier. Describe the process clearly: what do you want to achieve and what measures do you plan to take?
  2. Applying for Talent funding is not difficult. However, put your mind to it and take your time. You need to estimate and calculate the costs.
  3. Be open-minded during the implementation phase, as new insights will emerge. Once you have a clear idea of your goals, you will be able to overcome surprises and cross the finishing line smoothly.
