Introduction to the Discover Finland project

Discover Finland project (April 2024 – March 2027), is jointly funded by the EU AMIF (Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund) and Business Finland Oy, managed by Business Finland’s Work in Finland unit. AMIF is an EU Migration and Home affairs funding initiative aimed at strengthening and developing migration flows, supporting legal migration, promoting the integration of third-country nationals and enhancing solidarity and responsibility sharing between the Member States.

The total budget for Discover Finland is approximately €1.2 million, with 75% (€899,770.48) funded by AMIF and the remaining 25% provided by Business Finland.

The objective is to create an effective pathway to Finland for specialists living in the TB target countries (India, Brazil, Vietnam) and to enhance their readiness to work in Finland by providing them with the necessary information and knowledge about career planning and Finnish work life.

The expected results from this project include

  • Streamlined international professionals’ recruitments from the target countries
  • Hiring of employees well-versed in Finnish culture and working life by Finnish companies
  • Contribution to overall integration of foreign workers into Finnish society
  • Utilization of the project outcomes in the future operations of Work in Finland and Talent Boost network
  • Leveraging the materials and courses for talent retention in Finland
